Important guidelines for parents, crafters, and young artists...
At Lily’s Plaster Crafts, we want your creative painting experience to be fun, inspiring, and completely safe. Please take a moment to review these safety guidelines before starting your art project.
1. Paint Safety & Non-Toxicity Non-Toxic Paints: The acrylic/craft paints supplied with our kits are water-based and non-toxic for craft use. Not for Consumption: Paints and materials are strictly NOT edible. Do not ingest paints or place painted items near food or mouth. Skin Contact: While non-toxic, paints can cause mild irritation on sensitive skin. We recommend washing hands thoroughly with warm soap and water after painting.
2. Adult Supervision & Age Suitability Age Recommendation: Our kits are recommended for children aged 3 years and older. Supervision Required: Children should always be supervised by an adult while painting to prevent accidental ingestion or misuse of craft tools. Choking Hazards: Plaster figurines and paint containers contain small parts that may pose a choking hazard for children under 3 years old.
3. Handling Plaster Figurines Fragile Material: Plaster items are handcrafted and fragile. If dropped on a hard surface, they may crack or break into sharp edges or small pieces. Broken Pieces: Handle damaged or broken figurines carefully to avoid scratches. Discard any tiny broken plaster shards safely. Decorative Use Only: Finished figurines are intended as decorative crafts and display pieces only—they are not toys intended for rough play.
4. Craft Area & Clean-Up Tips Surface Protection: Water-based craft paints can stain clothing, unsealed wood, or porous fabrics. We recommend wearing an apron and covering your work surface with newspaper or a plastic tablecloth. Washing Up: Wash brushes and hands promptly after painting before the paint fully dries.
